| Prayers for the Rev. Blake Leighton Submitted by: Episcopal Dio, N. Calif. | Please keep the Rev. Blake Leighton, associate at St. Michael and All Angels in Fort Bragg, in your prayers. After experiencing extreme pain in his legs and feet most of the week, Blake went to the Fort Bragg Hospital emergency room on Friday, May 17th. Shortly thereafter, he was flown to the VA Medical Center in San Francisco. He underwent surgery that night on his left foot to remove infected tissue. Since then, he has undergone three more surgeries and the leg has been amputated just below the knee. It is likely that more surgery is in Blake's future. Please hold Blake+ and the surgical staff at the VA Medical Center in your prayers during this difficult time. | 05-23-2013 |

My dad alternately understands and doesn't understand the whys and wherefores of what we're doing.
