Lord Jesus Christ, Good Shepherd of the sheep, you gather the lambs in your arms, and carry them in your bosom.  We commend to your loving care all those in need.  Relieve their pain, guard them from danger, restore to them your gifts of gladness and strength, and raise them up to a life of service to you.  Hear us we pray, for your dear name's sake. A-men.

Heavenly Father, we remember before you those who suffer want and anxiety from lack of work.  Guide the people of this land so to use our public and private wealth that all may find suitable and fulfilling employment, and receive just payment for their labor; through Jesus Christ. A men.
